Well, who knows how reliable it is.......

I checked http://www.gens-us.net/map/genera.html and found, as expected, my maiden name is far less common than RP's surname.

But, oy, there are Philbis's (well, the equivalent) in Alaska. Wacky.

As for m'name, we're in Mass., NY and Maryland, as expected, but, oy, in Texas?

In italy, there are way more people with my ancestral names (the 3 or 4 I tried) than there are people with my housemate's current surname (she is italian - needs a visa to be here italian).

OOH! I don't know whether this is going to alarm CJ or not, but most of my American cousins seem to be concentrated in California.
