When I first moved here to Louisiana I saw what I thought was a huge rat at a sewer drain. I absolutely freaked! I had never seen a rat that size in my life! Well, come to find out, it was a nutria. I had no clue as to what they were. I know one thing, they are NOT afraid of cats! Laughing

There are some very strange creatures here in Louisiana. I was just trying to see if I could find a picture of the blue runner snake we have here.

They look like a bright blue ribbon. They will stand up on their tails and actually "run". I had never seen such a thing before. They are very aggressive, especially when protecting their young. They will chase animals and humans alike.

Oh, and I never thought armadillos actually were alive. The only time I had ever seen one was on the road dead. Let me tell you, they can move! They dig holes in the yard all the time. Can't figure out what the heck they are looking for though! Laughing

You cracked your window? Big deal.

This guy has a better story to tell.

I always wanted to know what a nauga looked like.

Gus has finally had a use after all.

I don't know why they hide all the time though.

I want out!

I want someone else to kill the gentle creatures of the forest. I can not do this alone!

Oh, Gus. I am so sorry to hear of your terrible muskrat ordeal. What an awful day you have had. There, there.

It looks like several of the good people here have helped you out with recipes and such, but not a single one has offered to help you.

So I am stepping forward.

I will help you kill the gentle creatures of the forest. Yes I will.

Y'got any skunks you want killed? I'll start with the skunks. Sounds like you've got muskrats covered.

Eva has a very dark history concerning skunks, Momma.

It is a story best left untold.

Oh my! Did the smell ever go away? I didn't read te whole thread so I don't know if you tried the old tomato juice trick. That seems to work the best! I'm just glad that one in the grate wasn't still alive! I'm afraid someone would have gotten a facefull of some not so pleasant perfume. Shocked

The bags are on their way! Very Happy

Be sure to read the second link, Momma. Gus had a field day with this one. And I haven't let him forget it!
