61A. Kind of scale = Richter
'richter' can be found in the words'zuRICH TERminal'

51A. It comes down when playtime is up = Curtain

14D. North-West Borneo = Brunei
in france one = 'une' (feminine form)
'une' + 'rib' are an anagram of 'Brunei'

Hi Folks, I am stuck on 26A. I thought SEVERAL might be the answer. (Five stand behind medical officer involved in real amputation) I thought "SEVER" might mean something. Has anyone else got any ideas?
Thanks. Von.

Hi Vonda1941,

It's nice to meet you!

26A. Amputation = Removal
five = V
medical officer = MO
'v' stands behind 'mo' = mov
involved in 'real' = reMOVal

24D Protective cover = Cocoon
company = co
one company after another = 'coco' takes 'on'

Hope this helps. Post again if you need any assistance.
Regards, Butterfly Very Happy
