I like them both, but on a daily basis, crosswords win hands down.

I prefer crosswords!

Firstly, I like to play with words, so crosswords are more interesting!

Secondly, my hand-eye co-ordinatioin is not what it could be - and I usually end up knocking the pieces out (don't play me at Scrabble)

Thirdly: You can do crosswords while driving (takes 2 people) - whereas the thought of doing a jigsaw in the car is best avoided! Twisted Evil A friend and I were doing some distance driving for business a while back. I drive, and she reads out the crossword clues. It really made the distances and travel time shrink!

You can't lose a piece of a crossword puzzle (or at least it is very difficult).
Crossword puzzles can be folded up and easily saved for later.
Crossword puzzles don't partially fall apart when you move them.

I enjoy both. I absolutely LOVE British-style cryptic crosswords.

But a high-quality jigsaw puzzle with unusual shapes and an interesting picture can also be a joy.
