This is an excellent book by Stuart Kauffman presenting a lot of good evidence explaining mathematical properties of complex systems that explains how life may have formed on Earth. He explains how self organizing autocatalytic sets can fill in a lot of the gaps left by natural selection. The mathematical and biological evidence for his theories should not be ignored by anyone interested in the origin of life. I read 200 pages in one sitting, it was very enjoyable.

Can you summarize at all?
I barely have the time to read road signs lately
