An interesting fact

If you put all the streets in NYC in a straight line, they would stretch all the way to Japan.

Isn't that interesting?

Avenues have trees.

Didn't a tree grow in Brooklyn?

I know that. I just posted the word, "huh?" there because I thought it looked good.

Okay, now 'fess up! Who else thought my fact was sexually exciting?

I voted for sexually exciting. Imagine starting with an American and then ending with a Japanese, just a short walk away, sampling others on the way...

Another interesting fact, if you put all the coffins of all the children under 5 years old in the world who died of malnutrition last year in a straight line, it would stretch from New York City to Paris, via London.

The NYC - London stretch would be made of children who lived in lesser developed countries; the London-Paris trench, of children who lived in so-called developed countries.

Isn't that interesting?

My calculations were based on UN data and every coffin measures 1 meter (that is, about 3.3 ft.).

LaMont Sanford once told his father Fred that he figured for the amount of cigarettes Fred smoked, they could be lined up all the way from Watts to I can even remember where.

Something like Canada, or Japan.

"Sorry, Honey, I'll be a little late getting home. I just popped into town to get some new table-napkin rings and the traffic from Tokyo to Central Station is just awful! Can you be a real sweety and get dinner started?"
