Hi everyone and Dutchy. I'm back and forward to this site but continually forgetting my password so usually have to create a new ID>
I'm presently having trouble with the baffler - Hong Kong's .... gun.
I'm assuming it's noon for the noon-day gun.
Anyone know any different? Help is much appreciated.
Letters are N??N.
Cheers and happy new year to all.
Hi Swalk56, Noon it is. Welcome
Hi swalk56
You are absolutely right. See below:
The Noon-day Gun (午炮) is a former naval gun mounted on a small enclosed site near the Causeway Bay typhoon shelter on Hong Kong Island, Hong Kong. There has been a gun sited in approximately this area ever since the 1860s - the original location as at East Point, which as a point of the island, has long since disappeared due to reclamation of land on the north side of the island.
Happy New Year.
