If only reyn lived a little closer, I would have called him up and asked him to take it for me.

I was there in spirit though!

Here's a candid shot of Edgar and Reyn back in the 1950s.

http://www.leaveittobeaver.org/images/wally_beaver.jpg

When Theodore was born, his brother, Wally (Tony Dow) tried to pronounce his new brother's name but ended up mouthing "Tweeter" which sounded like "Beaver" to his parents, Ward (Hugh Beaumont) & June (Barbara Billingsley) and so began the saga of Beaver Cleaver and the jokes about his name. Beaver's real name, Theodore was based on June's Aunt Martha's brother. Eddie Haskell (Ken Osmond), a wisecracking, insincere friend of teenager Wally Cleaver who called Beaver "Squirt" and "Creep" would greet him with taunts like "Hiya Beaver, you gnaw down any trees today?" Beaver's brother Wally often said the phrase "Boy, Beave, are gonna get it."

Hey Edgar, how'd the day go?

I've been busy packing up all my uniform stuff and gear.

While I was at it, I went through all my old clothes which I'm going to donate.

It was tough. I had a patch of skin cancer on my calf treated and it made me feel feverish. But, my knee joint did seem better.

Shoot! That's a heckuva a way to close out the year. Sad Sorry to hear about that. Is it a frequently occurring thing?

It is a receding thing. I once had it from scalp to ankles. Now it just flares in a random spot, but less and less often.

I get the impression that there are many, many people here still "hearing" Reyn's name in their heads as rain instead of wren. Get it straight, people. No more rain puns, think little drab birdies.

wren, ring, rain, ralph, beaver, I'm sure he won't mind too much if the people are friendly about it.

See, that's why eveeryone insists on him being rain instead of wren, there are no puns to make about little nondescript birds.

I hope you don't mind if I ask this, but is it just possible that this could be aggravated by stress, or even exposure to various substances?

The reason I say, is that I suffer from time to time from excema, and while I realize your condition is not that, skin conditions, in general, can be affected by a mysterious set of circumstances that I don't think is 100% known.

Hi Cypher! I think everybody pretty well knows now how my name should be pronounced. They're having a bit of fun and pulling my leg. Especially the dude from New Mexico. Laughing

Now that I know that they know, I'm okay with it.

Of course, I could ask jespah to beat them up.....

Yup, and it's my older brother talking. Of course, he couldn't get beaver right either (see last page). Laughing
