Disagreeing, just to get a rise out of someone

Deb - I completely disagree. Maturation has nothing to do with money. Nor niceness...

Deb, you raise two good points. However, I think the question should be:

a) Has Set gone too far?

b) Has Set gone not too far enough?

Leg? I thought it was a baguette.

No you can't.

You are merely contradictory.

.... said the kitty, but it sure tastes good.

I've been travelling for a few days and checked in to find this thread more or less back on track.

Very interesting to note Francis' obviousy forced and uncomfortable efforts to be disagreeable. Both dlowan and Setanta are far more authentic and natural in their roles. Setanta is particularly salty and quick in his responses, but we all know he has certain natural gifts in this area.

It is Francis who astounds me. Who has ever heard of a Frenchman who has real difficulty being truly disagreeable? Perhaps he isn't Franch at all. A displaced Spaniard seems more likely.

George - Your attempt to disagree in such simple matters are allowing your worse instincts to surface.
I know you have been in command of men and are used to feelings' management so your can easily control your subordinates.
So here you are using the "divide to reign" technique.
I can easily take your discriminatory and dishonoring ways about the French as I'm used to the bashing (I know you have a gripe on us, apparently based on clichés).
But it is perfectly abject (what an oxymoron!) to throw the anathema on the Spaniards and the displaced.
I easily disagree that I could be either one or the other.

With such feeble disagreement, I cannot be bothered to find disagreement.
