It is a TOWN 250 southern of London.
other clues: It has a hospital,it is a coastal town and some really rich people live there (it also has a sailing club, and a badminton club).

Le Havre in France is about 200 (though kilometers) south of London. (Though not really southern.)

200 miles AND southern would be far inland in France.

250 miles, in a Southerly direction from London.....is PARIS.

"Many western European capitals are within one to two days drive from Paris. It is located 250 miles south of London......."

.......However, if you go 250 miles in a straight line in a rough South WESTERLY direction, you will just about fall of the edge of Lands End, in Cornwall.

Yes, but with a bigger population than Australia.

It's a wonder we stay afloat at all, really.

150 miles due south of london, lives Harold the Halibut.

Harold lives in a small shipwreck along with a wife and two daughters, and are next door neighbours to Colin the Cod, and Sammy the Skate.

They all live directly under one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world, and the area is either known as the English Channel (if you are English), or La Manche (if you are a Froggie).
