ALBUQUERQUE (AP) - A power outage at a major intersection has been blamed on pigeons.
Too many pigeons perched on the line about 5 p.m. Sunday, weighing it down so much it touched the line below, a Public Service Company of New Mexico spokesman said. The two wires made contact, and the top line crashed into the road below.
Electricity was knocked out for about 25 minutes to about 500 customers.
