I can't seem to find any labs with enough details for this experiment. All they have is what I need.

Does anyone here know of one with the materials and procedure? And is it safe to touch after I take it out of the solution?

I think there is a phenol-formaldehyde resin thread around here somewhere. I'll see if I can dig it up.
