The subject came up because of a new movie release. Just wondering about the theme. Are there bounty hunters in all states to catch bail jumpers or just some western ones? I've always thought this line of work to be a curious feature of modern day America. What are the limitations to their actions? Isn't this sort of a grey area in the modern day U,S, legal system?

They're employed by bondsmen all over the country. Not at all sure of their legal status, nor the status of the bail jumpers.
