A Chocolate Shoppe sells sepcial designer candies in handmade boxes. When you buy candy, the price is determined by the formula:
p = 2.5n + 18 where p is the total price for buying n number of candies.

- What does 2.5 represent in the context of this situation?

- What does 18 represent in the context of this situation?

Both represent undefined units of what apparently is to be assumed to be currency, one, the 2.5n component, a variable equal to the number of candies, "n", times the designated multiplier 2.5, the other, 18, a constant, independent of the first. One candy would cost 2.5 units of currency plus 18 units of currency, 10 candies would cost 25 units of currency (2.5 x 10) plus the constant 18 units of currency.

2.5 is the price of each piece of candy.
18 is the price you pay for the opportunity to spend 2.5 on each piece of candy.
