Upset with you, honey? Good grief, no. When I say that music was a business, I meant that I had to sing and perform songs that I didn't particularly like, and that was right, because we were taking people's money. It's like poetry or any thing else we do. There MUST be inspiration. It was the after hours stuff and the free gigs that I really loved. That's why I like Hank Williams now. His writing; not his voice.

Ah, the after hours ad lib sessions were the best.

As you know, I lived in San Francisco for about three years during the 60's. In the Haight/Ashbury district there were many little (mostly) jazz clubs. Some were just pathetic, but some were so good that magic happened after hours. Great memories.
