Quick vote on paper
fed into the machine and

I'd written these yesterday, but had kept them aside for obvious reasons ...

Apocalypse? Nah
Cattle cars won't ride the night
But what bloody waste

Beacon of light blinks
black. Lost from sight. Instead there'll
be, stupidity.

Time turned a stone path
Opportunities which had
beckoned, now laid waste

The world blinks and sighs
Scratches its collective head
What is one to do?

one longs to hope but
the chance is smaller than small
but one longs to hope.

Hope diminishes,
fear accelerates now in
the day after day.

The day after day
of unending acceptance --
This is the best? Ugh.

Words lose meaning when
debased by politicians.
"Moral values": ha!

save our energy
why fight them when we could just
let them self destruct
