Dutchy I have another couple of clues I am stuck with, if you dont mind me asking you yet again. 8d is "lies around outside as an unusual example of marine life" 2 words, 3 letters and 5 - I thought the first one might be sea, 2nd word has N as 2nd letter. 22a is "perceive intuitively llike a god - 6 letters, last letter E. 15d "fire up when falsely detailing lad's departure - 6 letters 2nd one G and finally 26a "ram following ewe mostly gets tired" - 7 letters, 2nd one E and 4th one R. As you can probably tell, I am fairly new to cryptic crosswords and I am struggling a bit!

I know what it is like, although I have been doing crosswords for many years, I've only recently turned to doing cryptics. When I'm stuck I also turn to this medium where you'll find some wonderful clever helpers.

I think 26 may be "wearies"

as in mostly ewe (we) followed by "aries" (the ram)

The letters of - LIES, AS, AN - are an anagram of 'sea snail'
* 22A. 'perceive intuitively' = 'divine'
like a god = divine
* 15D. 'fire up' = 'ignite'
take the 'lad' from 'detailing' (lad's departure), and you are left with the letters to spell 'ignite'
* 26A. 'gets tired' = 'wearies'
ram = aries
ewe mostly = most of the word 'ewe', which is 'ew'
EW+ ARIES = wearies

Only two left now i.e 13a "oddly ask Zach to come back for war chant" - 4 letters - ?a?a - I know it is probably staring me in the face but my brain has given up! And finally 72a - friends who hit back - 4 letters ?a?s - I can only think of pals but fail to see how that comes about.Many thanks friends once again.

13A. War chant = Haka
oddly = take each odd letter from the following word/s
AsK zAcH = AKAH
come back = reverse the letters
AKAH = HAKA
