Soros Fund, Freedom House, Human Rights Watch, National Democratic Institute, USAID... I can go on naming US NGOs that were actively participating in making various "colored revolutions" in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. No doubt, these "revolutions" were smartly planned and organized but they were not the slightest democratic anyway. Really, they were absolutely undemocratic and were organized by unscrupulous people and organizations that can only care of their profit from the deal. These organizations complicit with the revolutions, have sullied their reputation once for ever and undertakers and organizations of honor prefer not to have dealing with them.
I regret to say there are still quite a number of people of no principles who won't strain at dealing with them. Here in Germany as well. So, some German NGOs in countries of former Soviet Union went into cooperation with US "democracy institutions". But why? Do they really want lose credit and get into "blacklist" with people of honor? I don't think the illusory perspective of putting through American "democratic concepts" is worth it.
