We're doing a debate in science class and my group is the side government. We are FOR paying for garbage collection and my part is the chemical reasons behind it. Anyone know any chemical reasons why garbage dumps/landfills/land sites are bad.. and the kinds of chemicals given off by the decomposing garbage [that are harmful to humans and other organisms].
Thanks a whole bunch in advance.. also, debate is on thursday so need help quick >.<
Methane is given off. Some are tapping it and using it to generate electricity. But you need someone far better versed in the subject than I.
I think I might consider switching schools.
