Speaking of reading, and the pitfalls of pot, I once read a tract on the evils of drugs and booze that scared me so bad I damned near swore off reading. It was months before I was really comfortable with the printed word again.

Actually, in San Francisco, I was crazier about the accoutrements than anything else. Some of those pipes were beautiful, almost museum quality, the clips could be lovely--yours sounds very nice, Montana.
And some of the jewrelry-gorgeous to this jewelry freak. Pot was fun, but I loved brownies. Plus, I can't drink much and I could never do much pot, just enough to get right inside the stereo and stream along in the music.
The other stuff? No! I lived in the Haight/Ashbury district and saw what could happen--a Lord of Flies kind of destructiveness.
Sorry, didn't mean to be a downer. Here, let me light that for you with my special lighter I got in China Town.
