I have submitted my entry with the word "exit", I'm positive this is the clue they are looking for. It refers to a 1989 movie.

From the letters e??t you can make 184 words but none make any sense with the clue given except exit.

Thankyou for your help with 'exit'- I will definitely go with that!

The difference with the title 'Last exit TO Brooklyn', (which all references have pointed to), and the Baffler clue's wording- " Last ... FROM Brooklyn', had me worried- so I rang Lovatts late this afternoon and queried their wording. They gave me confirmation that "FROM' is a Gremlin, and should have been 'TO'.

Hoping to post 'Cluewords' tomorrow, fingers crossed!
