Yeah, just trying out the macro. Works good, and I can get even closer with the super macro.

My favourites for this batch are the first 3 (previous page) with Mr and Mrs Duck.

Okay, lots of excitement down at our local park this afternoon. This park is about a block from where I live and has a big lake in the middle of it.

Anyways, there's a crew there shooting a movie or commercial, and I got a few good shots of the goings on.

Obviously some kind of flood situation, but they'd have to keep the focus pretty narrow for it to work in terms of the landscape... hmmm.

Thanks, Kris. I had a lot of fun taking them. Could have got better shots, but they had crowd control types keeping onlookers to a certain area. Good thing I had a decent telephoto, or else it wouldn't have looked like much.


Not sure about that, Soz. The house you see in the lake is a mock-up. It's like the top third of a house only. My wife and I saw them build it on land the day before, but didn't know at the time what it was about.

There was a fair-sized crew there, 3 boats, and 2 helicopters. Looks like Canadian Forces. They had been buzzing around all morning, and it wasn't until the afternoon that I got curious enough to go actually go down and have a look-see.

I enjoyed using the macro on the flower. I have yet to try out the super macro and hope to post something soon.

Here is an unusual local house with a turret-like structure over the bay window. Don't see this much.



These lilly pads are really taking over one corner of this lake in our main park here. What a mess, eh? It wasn't this bad last year.

Those lilies are bad (though the pictures of them are nice)! They're so pretty and so invasive.....

Yup, at one time, they had someone working on them a few years back. Now they've grown back with a vengenance.

This guy was singing and playing very badly. Like the sign says, he should stop!
