Yeah, I guess it does. By looking at them though, you'd think it was late afternoon, at best. They were all taken at about 11 am.

I suppose it lends a certain look to them, but it wasn't intended.

There was a Great Blue Heron that I noticed in one end of the lake, sitting on a piling. I couldn't get a decent shot of it though.

By the way, the "Oops" message is showing on the old photos because I deleted them from my host. I figured anybody who will have wanted to see them, has done so by now.

The latest ones on are the last page.

It's interesting how colder climates tend to get all silver in winter.

It's not all that cold here, K.

It's been about 45 to 48 F here recently. We do get our fair share of rain though.

As you can see, very dull and overcast.

hmmmm.... that's in the cold range. Maybe winter brings low cloud cover or it's the low light angle.

Yeah, the low light angle sounds right. This time of year brings that for sure.

Thanks for your interest, Vivien. I haven't taken many photos lately. Been busy with other things, but I hope to again soon.

Yeah, lots of snow there. Good place for it. we've had none in the city since the first week of December.

What do you think of the crane and the branches photos? Are they any good?

I always fight with myself to evaluate if something is worthwhile photographically.

I love the farm tree shot and the branches. But, I might crop the branches to exclude the bit of evergreen in the lower left. The crane seems a bit.... maybe cluttered. But, I can't see how to crop it to make it better.

Yes, now that you point that out, it would an improvement. Maybe I can even blend or clone it out.

Something funny. In that photo, did you see that round ring with the string attached? It's hanging there on a branch. I didn't see that until after I downloaded the pics to my computer! Doh!! Laughing

I probably should have found a better angle. I was on the way back home and it was a bit rushed. That one tree on the right spoils it a bit.

Thanks!

I bet you could clone it out. That'd be better, prolly, than cropping the whole image.

On the crane shot, I sort of like the tree on the right more than those on the left. I don't really know why.
