ineldorado- Hi! Welcome to A2K!
Since I moved three years ago I have been hobbling along with my big old thick Webster's International, Second Edition, fat with words on onionskin..circa 1935 (no, I haven't gone and looked. I think I looked once before and that page with the date is missing.) Or, my paperback Harper Collins Italian-English dictionary, which you can imagine has limited use for ferreting out various english words. This dictionary vacuum has lasted because I do much miss my old leather bound whatsit (circa 1962), which was just the right size. I suspect my ex has it, but he says no.....and apparently I would rather mourn its loss than replace it.
Just this week, I checked in the used book store and bought the only two English dictionaries, both American Heritage, one in paperback.
