Hidden Connections

Have any of you read Fritjof Capra's book "Hidden Connections.." can any of you explain to me Complexity Theory, Social Network, and congnition and consciousness. I am from a Finance background, and this was pertaining to a crash course I was attending last week on Business Leadership hosted by our local chamber of commerce in Jeddah. It seem to be very interesting but the lecturer was concentrating on the business side of Leadership and not the scientific one. I want a simplified explantation without the usual jargon and without refereing me to any website. Grateful to your early response.
