Right now, there is still laws that do not allow researchers to study throughly about stem-cell and human cloning. But if researching it successfully, there is gonna be a big impact to us: stem-cell research can use any tiny cell neucleus along with human sexual intercourse to cultivate any new cell representing each of our organs; with this curation, we will be younger and younger. So do you apply to they keeping researching, or against?
I think stem cell research is wonderful when using umbilical or adult stem cells. I'm undecided about "extra" embryos from invitro and am opposed to harvesting human embryos for research. I also think this research, while extremely promising, is in its infant stages and may not be the panacea it is touted as.

See i myself against the harvest of embryos to cultivate organs but yes if abortion is legal why not this?
IMO there is no justifiable reason the embryos sitting in the invitro centers which will eventually be destroyed should not be used for stem cell research.
As to whether the research will or will not accomplish all of the hoped for goals is yet to be seen. However, all indications are that many will be realized.
I have a few choice words for the religious fanatics who are standing in the way. But than I have the same words for religion in general. It is a plague that has been visited upon mankind by the ignorant.
