What will the current group of ID advocates do if we discover that they're right and ID is how we came about...... but it was Buddha or Muhammed who was the designer and not Jesus? Say if Jesus was in on it but was just overseeing the reptiles and lizards program or something?
That is a silly question I'm afraid because there is no possibilty of discovering that ID is correct.Or of proving it incorrect either.
The question at issue is how the two irreconcilable positions can be exploited for financial and/or political reasons.As emblems of various states of self perception say in individuals or as useful tools in social policy for elites.

The worst thing that could happen to these folks is that they could turn out to be right about the process but it was someone else god who was responsible. That's why its a silly question, it forces them to face their deep down insecurities, that they might on some level be wrong, that they are hiding from.
There's a paragraph in Isis Unveiled about that.Once you allow what God said you have to allow what the Gods of others said or admit to failing to respect other people's beliefs which is unconstitutional I have been told.
