"Swindler" is other word for trickster; "wind" is other word for roll, and "ler" could represent l from (large) in front of er, elizabeth rex (Queen)

'secretly followed' = 'shadowed'
publicity= ad
editor= ed
'show' goes around 'ad' (sh ad ow ed)

Hi Dutchy,

I was puzzled too about the issue that Farkha was working on with regard to another cryptic clue that she asked about earlier, as i couldn't find that cryptic clue in any of the current Lovatts books that I have. Farkha explained that she has the UK Lovatts issues, which have different issue numbers to ours. Our competitions must not match at the same time either.

Thanks butterfly and Dutchy. As I explained to butterfly earlier I subscribe to the UK Lovatts. No.167 is their Nov issue. I also have the Puzzle Collection 41Special. As usual your answers were spot on and I have finished doing the Cryptic. Am still iffy with most of my cryptic attempts and will continue to bother you. Thanks again.
