Anyone got tips what I should do with my parakeets to make them wise, do tricks, or just make them happy
Aside from working in a family-owned pet store for a long time, I had lots of different kinds of birds as pets ~ parakeets were my favorites.
Fresh water and food daily. Duh. Fresh veggies occasionally. Millet once a week (all birds love that stuff). If you clip their wings, give them plenty of room to exercise ~ hopefully they can get out of their cage. A rubbing stone to keep their beaks short.
Most parakeets love human contact. I taught mine to fly to me in increments ~ 'Petey' was rewarded with kisses, neck rubs and a shower from the spray bottle.
