HD images no longer display on my Samsung DLP

Hello all, I'm new to this forum.

I have a Samsung 46" DLP that I purchased new in May of this year. It has been flawless until today. No HD signal is displayed on the television no matter if I use HDMI or component from my Scientific Atlanta HD DVR (model 8300HD). My Samsung is a model HL-P4663W.

If I display images from the DVR using my S-Video connection, it works just fine. A DVD signal using component video is just fine as well. However, no HD signal is displayed, either at 720p or 1080i. If I attempt to display a 480p image through HDMI or component, this doesn't work either. A recorded HD or analog program does not display, either. I suspect the digital outputs on my DVR are no longer working since the TV will display all other inputs, but I'm new to DLP and HDTV, so I can't be sure. Any suggestions?

Ok, never mind. Smile

Some problems with this Scientific Atlanta box can be solved by simply "bouncing" it. After denying the box power for about 5 minutes, all HD signals are just fine.

LOL !
A hard reset does the trick in a surprising amount of cases.
