You don't understand. The Necronomicon wasn't a book
by H.P. Lovecraft, it was a book appearing in some of Lovecraft's work. A
fictional book as a plot device, like, for instance,
Goldstein's Book, appearing in Orwell's
Nineteen Eighty-Four.
Later, some people wrote an actual
Necronomicon, based on what Lovecraft described, but the
original book (which is what you asked) was in Lovecraft's mind and work.
