Geometry: Dilation

After a dilation with respect to the origin, the image of point A( 3,4)
is A'( 9,12). What are the coordinates of the image of point B( 2,7)
after the same dilation?

I don't get this dilation stuff.

Looks like an expansion by a factor of three. Each coordinate is multiplied by three.
