Hello,
Is there much of a diff between the two? I have a KLH dvd player DTS/DD and all other JPEG, KODAK etc outputs which i purchased for about $35.00 on sale @ Sears's. It does the job. But, im curious about Pic & Sound of a progressive scan DVD player. I do have a home cinema system: DLP 52" HD, Onkyo reciever w/ all the good stuff. So being that i have a good surround sound set-up. Q. Would thee progressive scan DVD player make a difference & would U recomend one, if so. thanx Pors

480p is definitely better than 480i, however I have not been able to see a good difference on my 46" DLP. I think a CRT would reveal a larger difference between progressive scan and interlaced images coming from a DVD player.
You can get many prog. scan DVD players for a low price now. I have a Sony which I purchased for $100 just because it plays every format under the sun.
