Hi,
I would like to know how these two programs scientifically work. I don't need the links to the download sites. I need links that can explain the scientific workings of the programs.
Seti@Home
Folding@Home
The download websites for these programs do not explain what I need to know.
Thank you,
AE
Use their Site
Hey,
This link may no tprovide the programs algorithm but it provides information about SETI in all its technical and fundamental research ...
http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/sah_sci_newsletters.php
For general info about SETI we have

Thank you vinsan I will read them.
Just fyi - I've been a SETI participant since '99, through several evolutions of the software; the machines on my own network are "Always On", their idle time is allocated to SETI and they have completed several tens of thousands of work units.

I'm a great fan of the work Seti is doing, and I really want to understand it.
So your not using the seti@home program. Which new one are you using? Are they very different, the new programs I mean?
Over the years, the SETI client went through a number of evolutions, versions and updates. Earlierier this year, it essentially was incorporated into
BOINC, a development which allows a variety of distributed computing projects to be run on client machines.
I heard of that one, and another one I can't think of the name right now. I don't remember if it came before or after Boinc. What I want is to understand how it all works before I join. I will read everything everyone posts here.
Thanks
Has anybody seen any diagrams?
