CNN Breaking News:
Justice Dept. admits Reflecting Pool renovation was flawed, drops case against former Olympian

The Justice Department is admitting that a President Donald Trump-prompted $14 million renovation on the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool in Washington, DC, was flawed, and is dropping the criminal case against former Olympian David Hearn that accused him of damaging the pool, according to a new court filing from DC US Attorney Jeanine Pirro.

Laughing . Laughing . Laughing .

I guess the decision was made that it was better to do this...than have a judge tell them the obvious.

@Frank Apisa,
[Posted this already on the other thread]

Doesn’t any of Trump’s supporters actually realise this?

As recently as early July, Pirro had spoken of “substantial evidence” in front of TV cameras and lamented “unchecked vandalism and civil unrest”. Hearn alone had caused damage amounting to over $1,000, said the controversial lawyer.
At the same time, Trump spoke of malicious perpetrators who, at night, had slashed the blue coating with knives over a stretch of more than a hundred metres and tipped fertiliser into the water to cultivate algae. His government never produced any evidence.

How can anyone be so blind to the facts...

You have read Brandon's posts?

They're an object lesson in wilful blindness.

@Frank Apisa,
If Lash were here she'd probably tell us to imagine Hilary Clinton as president in a super charged doomsday scenario.

Which would be the only other alternative.

Re reading the above; Super charged doomsday scenario sound like a pretty cool set of wheels.

Izzy, normally it is very, very tough being ashamed of one's nation. But I am having no trouble doing so right now. The sooner we (and the rest of the world) is though with this buffoon and his enablers, the better for humanity.

@Walter Hinteler,
Trump insists that the blue paint on one of his flagship projects in Washington was deliberately vandalised.
He refuses to accept the decision to drop the case against a former professional sportsman.

He even posted twice on the so-calle 'Truth Social' : "I disagree 100% with Jeanine Pirro, the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, on the Reflecting Pool. I don’t know what she was thinking? To me, it was a pure case of VANDALISM, that included the grass, which had a big 86 47 emblazoned in giant letters on it, and other elements of the surrounding area. There may have been some contractor difficulty, but the major damage was caused by VANDALS! President DJT"

And one time: "Look for yourselves at the VANDALISM that took place at The Reflecting Pool. The material is being cut with a knife or a box cutter, for all to see!"

Taylor Swift Song ‘August’ Removed From Trump TikTok Video

This isn’t the first time the audio track has gone missing from one of these mocking clips. It was also removed from the ones featuring Bad Bunny and Ariana Grande, and had even been taken out once before in November from Swift’s song ‘Father Figure’.

However, there’s a sign here that the jab seems to have hit home: also on Friday, Trump’s team uploaded another TikTok video set to Swift’s song ‘Red’ and joked that the album of the same name dealt with the colour of the Republican Party. You can currently hear the audio track. Let’s see if it stays that way.

Two headlines about Trump in today's press that need to be seen side by side.

The first from the BBC.

Quote:
More than 10 firms pay up to $100,000 a month for fast access to Truth Social posts

And this one from the Guardian.

Quote:
Trump’s media company, which also owns Truth Social, reports $238m loss

As I've said before, the color of the Republican Party should be white and red should be returned to the parties of the left. It's an outrage!

@Region Philbis,
Yes but, crucially, we see no wind turbines among all the WMDs and piles of barbed wire.

Crivens! 😱
