How many people on this site are insane?

i hate to disappoint so many people, but you can't really be insane if you know you're insane. as for me, personally, on the issue of my sanity, i'm agnostic as is my wont.

Of course you can. Insanity is a legal concept, not a specific mental illness, and it doesn't just include particularly extreme forms of schizophrenia. Also, most people who are mentally ill do have a good idea that they are , unless they are simple minded. When little green men start telling you that the world will be damned to hell for all eternity if you don't do what they say, i'm guessing that most people would ( at least briefly) consider that they might possibly be delusional.

I consider being psychiatrically disordered as being either stupid or needy enough to get caught .

Durkheim said ( slightly more eloquently) that one of the uses for deviance in society is so that the mob has something do define itself against. Therefore, all the stupid whores ( that is "normal" people) who think there's something wrong with me should be grateful to that i'm there, to help them define their own normality.

Most people who go into psychiatry and psychology are meant to have deep rooted psychological issues. It's almost a job requirement. The same way that ye ole witch hunters and royal inquisitors transferred all their lascivious desires on the people they burnt.

Sorry for all these quasi-serious posts that are on a post which is meant to be flippant . I'm just in a weird mood today. But just as sane as the next A2Ker.
