use the given info to write the equation of each line in:
a. point-slope form
b. slope-intercept form
c. standard form
d. graph
1) slope= 2; x-intercept (3/2)
What do you think the answers are? We don't mind helping with homework, but we like to know you tried first.
y=2x-3 i dunno if i didnt get the equation right i cant go any further because i dont know if this is right
The Point slope form is always y=mx+b
Where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept (the value of y when x=0)
You've already got the slope (m=2) and the x intercept (value of x when y=0)
So use what you have to get b
0 (value of y at x intercept)=2*3/2(the value of x when y=0)+b. Rearranging b=-3
And y=2x+(-3)=2x-3 (slope intercept form)
The point form is to give two points on a line & you got two already you got the x intercept (3/2,0) and the y intercept (0,-3)
Standard form is also known as the linear form because it lends itself to matrix notation and is
Ax+By=C where (usually) A, B, and C are counting numbers (integers)
Start with y=2x-3
s(2x) -2x+y=2x-2x-3
-2x+y=-3
m(-1) 2x-y=3
2x+(-1)y=3
so A=2, B=-1, & C=3 and
2x+(-1)y=3 is the standard form
Graphing--take the two points from the point form, plot them on a piece of graph paper where you've drawn the x and y axis. Take a straight edge and connect them with a line segment.

thanx
thanx rap rap i really appreciate this tremendously. Thanx again and well bye
