I can't remember anyone playing Doc Holliday like Kilmer did. Even his accent was perfect, and his timing was impeccable. I don't know how many times I watched Tombstone, but I freaking loved the actors and performances.
I had to make sure it wasn't a prank first, when it appeared on FB. RIP

It IS true. He has had throat cancer for quite a few years. Sad because he was quite a talent. In return of Top Gun movie, they used AI and archived samples of his (former) voice to augment his speaking voice.
