Food is one of life’s greatest pleasures, but when it comes to eating, everyone has their preference—some love the comfort of a home-cooked meal, while others enjoy the excitement of dining out. Which do you prefer? KimEcopak
@KimEcopak,
Dining out, for sure. No shopping, no dishwashing. What's not to like.
@roger,
during the pandemic, we did a lot of take-out.
it was such a pleasure to eventually get back to restaurant meals again...
@Region Philbis,
I remember those days. Our local Denny's handled it real well.
@roger,
there's a Thai place down the street that didn't bother going back to table service after things got back to normal...
@KimEcopak,

That depends on who's asking, the wife or someone else.
@KimEcopak,
I prefer not to eat spam.
@KimEcopak,
I simply enjoy a good meal – anywhere.

I hope that doesn't mean you are leaving us.
@Ragman,
Well, we do get certain amount of spam around here. I guess you meant the other kind.
@KimEcopak,
It depends on the mood. If I feel lazy (which I mostly feel

), I prefer to dine out. Particularly Wendy's is my favorite place.
But it's also true that you cannot eat out regularly. Home-cooked food is always the best. It's healthy and fresh, and you know what is in it.
I miss cooking most of my meals, however, after recovering from 2 aneurysms it took a while to get back on my feet (walking, standing, getting up stairs) so we would order a lot from Grubhub and DoorDash. Last night I had to toss out my Chicken Fried Steak (which I have never gotten from Jupeb (and their version of Southern stile Messes). The crisby batter was so heavily salted, I couldn't even chew it. I did scrape off some of that topping but the salt was still way too heavy, I'm getting pretty sick over those mushy 'broiled' Brussels Sprouts.
My significant other and I do more cooking at home than ever…especially after COVID plague. The prices of eating out have gone through the roof and are turned off to paying north of $50 per meal.
Because we live in Southern FL, The restaurant choices aren’t always suiting us either due to short staffing or style of food. We don’t eat fast food or pub food or stakes so that narrows things down a bit.OTOH, we like to cook and are good at it. We invite our friends over who share our food tastes.
I prefer to do my own cooking. I don't particularly care for sauces and gravies, especially when a stranger prepares the meal. A normal dinner for me is a meat dish and a big salad. We can't afford most beef cuts these days, so we often cook ground meat and have it like a steak.
