What about this example of representational/realistic art? If this is typical of Matthew Daub's work, I am VERY impressed. The content is so sensitive: this alley is the essence of most of the alleys I am familiar with in L.A., and the COMPOSITION (including its subtle elements of "design") is stunningly beautiful. (frankly, I can't believe it's a watercolor).
