This is only the beginning of second grade and I am already resorting to assistance. Please help me understand the importance of estimating objects that are grouped. Is it similar to rounding? Round up if 5 or over, round down if under 5????? If so, what does this have to do with estimating? My DS put 20 but there were 28 items so the correct answer is 30??? If it is estimating, why is 20 wrong. Embarrassed Auggghhhhh. TIA
