lim arctg(x/(1+x))=? when x->-1 Question

You can solve by saying that x/(1+x) is going to negative infinity as x -> -1 and the value where the tangent of x is negative infinity is -pi/2. You can also use my cheating, calculator technique. A calculator can solve for limits by solving the equation at a value close to the target. In this case, try -.9999.
