Use continuity to evaluate the limit.

lim 5 + sqrt{x}/sqrt{5} + x as x--->4

What are the steps?

Do I plug 4 for x and simplify?

Do I need to use the conjugate or do I rationalize the denominator?

you can just plug in four to get the answer. The only number that you need to simplify the fraction before simplifying is when x=-sqrt{5} because it would initially make a denominator of zero.
