@The Anointed,
After Indiana Jone recovered it, it was placed in storage in a government warehouse.

@mesquite,
Ignoring the biblical ignorant mesquite’s poor attempt at comedy, I would like to point out here that the Ethiopian church in the holy city of Aksum claim to have the Ark of the Covenant, which only one person is allowed to approach. No one else can see it, not even the high priest of Aksum. The sole guardian will continue to serve the Ark until he appoints a successor as he feels his own death approaching, it is my opinion that they don’t have the Ark.

They may have what they think is the Ark of the Covenant, but until they are prepared to reveal it, so that it can be compared to the description of the Ark as revealed in the scriptures, I will continue to have serious doubts as to their claim.

So, again I ask the question; 'Where is the Ark of the Covenant hidden today?'

@The Anointed,
2 Maccabees 2; Jeremiah Hides the Tent of the Lord's Presence.
“We know from the records that Jeremiah the prophet instructed the people who were being taken into exile to hide some of the fire from the altar, as we have just mentioned. We also know that he taught them God's Law and warned them not to be deceived by the ornamented gold and silver idols which they would see in the land of their exile. And then he urged them never to abandon the Law.

“These same records also tell us that Jeremiah, acting under divine guidance, commanded the Tent of the Lord's Presence and the Covenant Box to follow him to the mountain where Moses had looked down on the land which God had promised our people. When Jeremiah got to the mountain, he found a huge cave and there he hid the Tent of the Lord's Presence, the Covenant Box, and the altar of incense. Then he sealed up the entrance

“Some of Jeremiah's friends tried to follow him and mark the way, but they could not find the cave. When Jeremiah learnt what they had done, he reprimanded them, saying, ‘No one must know about this place until God gathers his people together again and shows them mercy. At that time he will reveal where these things are hidden, and the dazzling light of his presence will be seen in the cloud, as it was in the time of Moses and on the occasion when Solomon prayed that the Temple might be dedicated in holy splendour.’
.

That holy fire that Jeremiah commanded the priests to hide, had burned on the alter in Solomon’s temple for four hundred and seventy years six months and ten days before it was sacked and burned by Nebuchadnezzar’s forces in 586 B.C.

Leviticus 6 12-13; The fire on the altar must be kept burning and never allowed to go out. Every morning the priest shall put firewood on it, arrange the burnt offering on it, and burn the fat of the fellowship offering. 13The fire must always be kept burning on the altar and never allowed to go out.

2 Maccabees 1: 18-23; “On the 25th day of the month of Kislev we will celebrate the Festival of Rededication just as we celebrate the Festival of Shelters. We thought it important to remind you of this, so that you too may celebrate this festival.
In this way you will remember how fire appeared when Nehemiah offered sacrifices after he had rebuilt the Temple and the altar. At the time when our ancestors were being taken to exile in Persia, a few devout priests took some fire from the altar and secretly hid it in the bottom of a dry cistern. They hid the fire so well that no one ever discovered it.
Years later, when it pleased God, the Persian emperor sent Nehemiah back to Jerusalem, and Nehemiah told the descendants of those priests to find the fire. They reported to us that they had found no fire but only some oily liquid. Nehemiah then told them to scoop some up and bring it to him.
When everything for the sacrifice had been placed on the altar, he told the priests to pour the liquid over both the wood and the sacrifice. After this was done and some time had passed, the sun appeared from behind the clouds, and suddenly everything on the altar burst into flames.
Everyone looked on in amazement. Then, while the fire was consuming the sacrifice, Jonathan the High Priest led the people in prayer, and Nehemiah and all the people responded.

It only took one faint sunbeam breaking out from behind the clouds to ignite the fat of the burnt offerings over 400 years.

May those who have ears that hear, understand.

@cherrie,
The screeching atheist seagulls are beginning to flock, their method is to fly in **** on the post and fly away.

1 Maccabees 31-36; After the sacrifices had been consumed, Nehemiah gave orders for the rest of the liquid to be poured over some large stones. Immediately a fire blazed up, but it was extinguished by a flame from the fire on the altar.

“News of what had happened spread everywhere. The Persian emperor heard that a liquid had been found in the place where the priests had hidden the altar fire, just before they were taken into exile.
He also heard that Nehemiah and his friends had used this liquid to burn the sacrifice on the altar. When the emperor investigated the matter and found out that this was true, he had the area fenced off and made into a shrine.

It became a substantial source of income for him, and he used the money for gifts to anyone who was in his good favour. Nehemiah and his friends called the liquid nephthar, which means ‘purification,’ but most people call it ‘naphtha.’

When anyone disagrees with Annoited he calls them an Atheist which is typical of his simplistic approach to debate.

You don't have to be an Atheist to disagree with Annointed, all you have to be is right.

@izzythepush,
The seagulls are certainly gathering, but that's alright because I've been wanting to ask you izzy, what idiotic ignoramus told you that the Covenant Box was the artifact that made armies invincible, or did you make that BS rubbish up, all by your little self?

You haven't got a clue what the Covenant Box was created for, have you?

You become nasty when you realise nobody is interested in your nonsense.

You don't try to engage, you just lash out and start insulting people.

That's what happens every time.

The fact of the matter is that the 10 Commandments weren't revealed to Moses in the Wilderness along with instructions on how to carry them around, they were in the Egyptian Book of the Dead long before those events were said to have happened.

All of which makes Jehovah incredibly unoriginal, more of an Osiris tribute act than anything else.

@The Anointed,
Moses was brought up with Egyptian nobility, he would already have been aware of the Egyptian Book of the Dead and the 10 Commandments.

That makes a revelation nonsensical. Was Moses are particularly slow learner that he needed something pointed out numerous times before it sank in?

What did Jehovah say, that Ra was right about everything except being the creator?

Or did Moses make the whole thing up by representing the knowledge he already had of Egyptian theology to sound like he'd had an epiphany?

The problem with exclusively studying the Bible, and calling everyone else an ignoramus, is that you miss out on what actually happened, what the rest of us call reality.

He makes you go overboard? You just don't like someone asking some of the many questions you don't nail down in your argument. When Izzy makes your kitchen too hot, you post something nasty and lock your own threads up.

How's that working for you, ace?
