Msolga, dear!

Loved this thread of yours... good idea. We all need to escape from time to time.

Just the other day I escaped to a mountain for the first time! I went up to the top (1.400m) on foot... it was such a great experience... I could hear the city down there when silently up in the mountain. Also saw the sunset in a perfect cloudless blue sky. I could see everything orange and beautiful... Just great!

Hope you're doing fine, my dear australian friend.

Beijos from da brazilian chic! miss ya. Smile

superjuly! Surprised

Where have you been? What have you been up to? (Last I recall you were considering studying in Boston, but changed your mind. AGES ago!)

Your experience on your mountain sounded just perfect. (And what a climb!)
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Good for the soul!Very Happy

So what's your next adventure to be?

sorry, Olga. I'm holding out on my appointment until they start calling me about it. I ain't chasin that one Laughing

It'll be a while for the sunflowers as I just planted them last week, but they are known to grow very quickly, so hopefully they'll keep growing faster than I expected. So far, so good.

Good luck with your test, and I'm so sorry I can't join you in pap ville at the moment. I'll probebly set something up in the fall when all my work outside is done. Summer is way too short in these parts to be papping around, lol.

Ohmmmmmmmmm...........

You disappoint me, Montana! (Piker!)

They've called me three times now, so ....

Watching sunflowers grow strikes me as a fine, calming daily activity! Enjoy! Very Happy

I know, I'm disappointed in me too, but it's only been a little over a year for me.

They called you 3 times Shocked

I think you might want to get going if they're that persistant. I swear after the summer is over, I'm making an appointment. I'd say 2 or 3 months tops. If they call me sooner, I'll go sooner ;-)

It's been rather hot and humid here the last few days and looks like we're getting a lot more of it this week.

Saw neighbours packing up their camper yesterday with 4 wheeler in back of truck and boat on top, so I'm hoping very much that they are taking off for the rest of the week :-D

Oh boy, that would be great!!! :-D

Olga, we love you and they've called you 3 times, so maybe you could just go and get that pesky test out of the way.

Like Noddy says "prevention"! And we all know how smart she is!

Ahem.

Ladies--

Have you picked up those telephones?

I'm back from the dentist--no cavities.

Ladies--

Nothing is nicer than a boring mammogram.

Awwww, thanks SJ :-D

Same here. I vanish from time to time when life kidnaps me, but I'll always come back.
I'm active here at the moment, but when I go back to school, I'll be kidnapped again Laughing

I think Noddy is looking for me, so can I hide behind you for a while? Laughing

Welcome back :-D

2 months, Noddy. I just need a few months and I'm really not that late. Just saw my doc last month to fill my prescription for my puffers (I know I should have done the pap then, but....) and my doc says I'll live to be 100.

I laughed and told him I was shooting for 110 ;-)

I'm goin, I'm going, soon......

I promise!

Montana, none of us are bullet-proof. I recently went to my Dr (new to me, hadn't met him yet, didn't even have an appointment) because I thought I had a urinary infection. They managed to work me in to their schedule. Yes I had an infection but a few casual questions led to an immediate Pap smear (also unscheduled) and now I'm scheduled to see a specialist. It doesn't sound like anything serious but what annoying symptoms I had, I had put down to perimenopause. I was not overdue for an internal exam and who knows how long it might have been before I'd have scheduled one? Looks like I've got one smart doctor -- and I'm thankful he took the time to ask a few questions.

There are no hiding places on A2K--not for the likes of you and other damn fools that claim immortality.

Noddy sees all.

I know, I know!!!! It's only been a year and maybe 2 months since my last pap, so it's just a couple more months.

Oh Noddy, I know I'll never be able to hide from you and I do appreciate your concern, very much so!

I'll probebly end up going sooner than planned because of the guilt you are brainwashing into me, so you should feel good about that Laughing

Ok, ok, I'm seriously going soon!

I will! Absolutely!

OK, next week, Noddy.

My marathon work stint finished today (phew!), so I'll have a little time up my sleave then.

Montana,

They've contacted me 3 times not because I'm especially at risk. It's because I'm registered for regular pap smears. If I don't go through with it (ugh! shudder!) they keep hounding me till I do! They know what's best for me, you see! On top of that, there's Noddy to contend with!
OK, OK, I surrender! Laughing

International Relations, superjuly! Now that sounds interesting! Tell us more.
What sort of work & where does this lead to?

The weather in Melbourne is ...... rotten! Just like weather in Melbourne always is! (Ask anyone in Oz & they'll tell you that! Very Happy ) It's freezing & grey & miserable & windy and ...... awful, just awful! And to make matters worse, we should be getting more rain, after all these years of drought. We are finally getting some, bit I figure if we have to put up with this horrible cold, we should get the rain as well! (Seems perfectly reasonable to me!)
