Pretty affordable, Deb & a shortish course. It's a new(ish) approach to literacy (here in Oz, anyway) that a growing number of schools are incorporating in their programs. Lots of in-servicing happening. But a real, formal qualification is absolutely necessary for me to get work
as a teacher in this field. It's the gaining the necessary
experience that's a more daunting prospect (for someone outside the education system, like me right now) I think I'll have to volunteer my services to a school using in the particular literacy program I want to become qualified in. (Say, one day per week & for some time) That's fine with me. It'd be worth it to get from A to B. I've made enquiries. It's do-able.
