Actually, it's not always mellow here, but I do my best to keep as close to mellow as I can get.

Mooooooooo......

Welcome back, Noddy. Lovely to see you! Very Happy
I take it you are now fully revived after all the running around NYC, sight seeing & socializing?

Ah, the slings & arrows department .....
I think my coping mechanisms are in bit better shape (with some fluctuations Laughing ) than last week. That's a relief. Put simply, there are too many anxiety-inducing things to cope with at the one time. (And I know I'm not alone in this - lots of folk are in the same boat.) I get by pretty well most of the time, but at other times all those separate anxieties seem to merge into one big freak out! Shocked
Not very nice, when that happens! Because many of these concerns are rather hard to change & they could well be an ongoing feature of my life. So, my answer is to try to work on my reactions to these things, to concentrate on the positives & try to stay as calm & serene as possible. Often this works! Very Happy

I've always felt that Real Life would be more sporting if disasters and other disagreeable events took turns surfacing.

Over the years I've learned to announce that Everyone Must Take Turns, but there are days when Disagreeable Events do not listen to Announcements.

New York was wonderful--I'm planning my next trip (in the fall when the asphalt oven has been turned down). Roberta and Mac are both delightful women it was fun to meet for a first time and plan to see again.

Ommmm.

Noddy,

Roberta AND Mac. All at once? Lucky you!
And you're planning your next trip already! Already? Wow, you must have really enjoyed yourself! I'm still jealous.
Sometimes Oz feels such a long way away from the rest of the world!

I'm working on a Disaster Roster to spread out the challenges a bit more evenly!

... & Montana, where are you?
Have you totally transormed that garden yet?

A Disaster Roster is an excellent idea. Be sure to tell all your Disaster Representatives that if they clamor and yammer out of turn they will be ignored--and they will lose their next turn.

Oz is a long way away, but when your ship comes in....

Like when I get rich, Noddy?

Ha!

But it would be wonderful to put faces to such familiar names!
I'd list who those I'd love to meet, but I'd hate to cause jealousy and resentment in the ranks by my omissions! Razz

Odd to think of public photograph albums where everyone is "family".

Someday your ship will come in--and you won't be waiting at the airport, either.

Thanks very much for the link, Noddy.

Great photographs from Walter. (Still not sure of who some folk are, but have identified most!)

So that's you! Exactly as I'd imagined! Very Happy

Yes, My ship is going to come in. I'm working on it! I would love to travel again & meet so many of you!

So is it good to be home again, Noddy, or do you have itchy feet & a taste for more?

Good to be home, but culture is a little hard to come by the Poconos. Still, I'm close enough to the Big City--and a medium sized city--that I shouldn't grumble.

Are your Aggravating Circumstances learning to queue up and take turns yet?

Well Noddy, you're just going to have to make these "culture junkets" to the big smoke a regular feature of your life! An excellent idea, I think! Very Happy

After a rather horrible period of bashing my head against the wall in complete & utter frustration & not a little despair, I've at last seen a wee light at the end of the tunnel! I now have A Plan to get the ball rolling, to get myself out of this corner. I feel quietly pleased & relieved & rather hopeful! Phew. Step 1 will be set in motion today. There are quite a few stages to go till Ultimate Success is achieved, but something tells me I know what I'm doing. No, I know it. At last! Very Happy

Thanks so much for your support & concern, Noddy. You have been very kind. And this has been awful.

Good that you have both A Plan and a Glimmer of Hope. Remember, you are responsible for your own sanity, not the sanity of your Chronic Problems.

Duty is all well and good, but Sanity is more important.

Hold your dominion.

I think you have yourself a nice plan there Olga and of course you know what you're doing Cool

Sometimes all we need in our lives is one good major change and it can make all the difference in the world.

I was a country girl at heart who spent most of my life in the city, which eventually started to drive me mad, so I followed my heart and my head, made a huge move to another country and "Wow", what a difference it made.
I was feeling very trapped and smothered in the city, but now I can finally breath, so I'm all for those changes.

Follow your heart and you will find what it desires :-D
