What is your head size?
http://hatsizes.com/
I always had problems finding large enough hats. I didn't realize that I have a larger head than average for a woman - 23-1/2 inches.

may not be entirely accurate, but I run ran a ruler around my head (good thing no one was looking)
and got 21.5 inches
My cowboy hat size was 7 3/4 when I was a teen. Haven't worn a hat since then.
As wide as you can open up...

I just found this bit of scientific information. I'd like to think that my larger head size means I have a larger brain and are, therefore, really smart. But my large head may just result from a bad bump to my head by a swing when I was six. ---BBB
I haven't measured my head lately, but I'll let you know when I get the chance ;-)
in case this isn't for women only, i'm also 23 1/2"

Nope, for everyone from all countries, which is why I posted the international head measuring stats.

I'm surprised to hear that Miss Squinney has a 7 3/4 hat size--that's very large. I happen to know, because that is my hat size, and when i was in the Army (i never wear hats, but in the Army they required it--so i met them half way, and wore a hat about half the time) i had a hell of a time getting hats in that size.
Stetson, 6 7/8. I have a small brain but everyone here knew that already.

Yep, we knew but we were too polite to publicly reveal your deficiencies.

Hmm. Maybe I need a bigger hat cause of all this thick hair.
You got a lotta hair too, right Set? We aren't Neanderthals, just lots of hair.
Yeah, that's it.
Yes, even in my advanced state of decrepitude, i have big hair . . .
I bought a Stetson while on vacation in Arizona last year - 7 5/8.
The college I graduated from had a tradition that graduating seniors and alumni wore a special type of Stetson with narrow brims. This is what Mining Engineers wore underground before there were hardhats, so it became the school tradition. It was rare to see anyone wear one when I was there in the mid 70s, and I suppose the tradition has to be dead and forgotten by now. So of course I had to buy one.
