@edgarblythe,
1. Perhaps $10,000 forgiveness for a federal student loan is too small.
2. $20,000 forgiveness for a federal student loan sounds
reasonable.
3. $30,000 forgiveness for a federal student loan also sounds
reasonable.
4. Regardless to what amount is forgiven, we all have to pay for it in our
taxes.
5. There definitely needs to be a cap on how much should be forgiven.
6. Some people will get all of their federal student loan cancelled.
7. Some people will get part of their federal student loan cancelled.
8. Whether a student gets all of their federal student loan cancelled or part of their student loan cancelled, I suspect that they will be very appreciative. Especially if they end up having $20,000 or $30,000 taking off of their student loan.
9. The larger the loan balance, the smaller the percentage of the loan would be paid off.
10. The smaller the loan balance, the greater the percentage of the loan would be paid off.
11. That's just basic math.
12. Let me repeat my first point:
Perhaps $10,000 forgiveness for a federal student loan is too small.
13. I also believe that $50,000 forgiveness for student loans is too high
for all of us tax payers.
