Things are only similar or disimilar according to a third thing. That third thing may be a hidden parameter. For example, the hidden parameter invoked when we say that black and white are opposites, is light.

Two triangles with dimensions 1,2,3 and 2,4,6 are similar.

The third thing is the framework in which you present two triangles. If you don't have this framework you can't even say you have two triangles, let alone if they are the same or not.
